Yeah it was Unity. I’m afraid to say that I can’t remember his missions or what he did. I have a vague recollection of him asking you to break into a building.
Saint Louis would make a great film. Something about the Seventh Crusade, perhaps. The French King was also an important lawgiver; his portrait can be found in the American House of Representatives.
You're right, his crusades didn't go well, haha! But by the Late Middle Ages, Europe's kings were powerful enough to declare their own crusades—independent of the Pope. Again, it goes back to that theme of separating church and state, and the birth of secular government and culture.
Are there ANY good movies about Napoleon? I've never seen Waterloo. I think I watched the 1927(?) film called Napoleon during my film school years in college. Can't remember if I liked it or not.
I'm planning on an article for 1970's Waterloo. It's extremely historically accurate, I heard. As for the 1927 movie, it appears to be very expressionistic, a true experimental masterpiece of silent film.
I've enjoyed these articles but I've actually never watched a film about him. I did play the French Assassins Creed and he appeared in that.
Didn't know Napoleon was in those games, that's funny. Was it Assassins Creed: Unity? Maybe I'll write an article on it.

Never watched one really, but thinking of doing so now. I wish there was a movie about St-Louis or la bataille de Bouvines with Philippe Auguste.

I was thinking something other than his crusades as those tend to be embarrassing episodes, but yeah he was an important lawgiver.
