An excellent article, just got directed here by another substacker, Morgthorak really love history (I'm French and a history major). This was a pretty well written article.
Hehehe sure, tbh I'm currently researching for a series of Angevin articles, and planning to finish uploading my Merovingian podcast. But am thinking about doing a Carolingian set of essays.
It'd be great to read yours and you're more than welcome as I thought it might tie in well with your excellent Napoleon articles.
Can I ask which one you prefer, just out of curiosity? I myself, am a great admirer of Charlemagne, and think him fairly underrated these days.
And France's Medieval History is the best! Only those of Scotland & Japan rival her for how fascinating they can be! Sorry kind of biased, but I'll definitely check your other doubtlessly excellent articles.

Thanks, glad you liked it! More Napoleon articles are coming soon.
Superbe, any chance of Charlemagne essays also?
Yeah, I could do that. Charlemagne actually ties in well with Napoleon, great suggestion.

I'd probably pick Charlemagne. He was the Father of Europe, and an heir to the post-classical Roman Empire.
I've written a few articles on France's medieval history, under the "Middle Ages" tab: https://hothistory.substack.com/t/middle-ages
We're of one mind then!
