Meet Andrew Roberts, who is one of today’s most famous and well-respected historians about Napoleon. Unlike most British historians, he takes a very positive view about the legendary French general.

Since Ridley Scott released his Napoleon movie in 2023, there has been a surge of American interest in the great Bonaparte and his epoch of European history. Like many historians of Napoleon, Roberts was shocked by the gross inaccuracies of the Ridley Scott movie. But that is a topic for another article.
