Order my book (“Napoleon: The Revolutionary Hero”) on Amazon today. It is a 200-page biography of Napoleon, covering his whole life from Corsica to Saint Helena.
Ridley Scott’s Napoleon movie has been widely criticized for its historical inaccuracies. These were hilariously mocked in a comedy skit by 22 Minutes.
In it, the fictional Napoleon mentions all kinds of anachronistic things, such as Twitter (“Hashtag winning”), helicopters, and cell phones.
“Oh, hello Prime Minister Churchill,” Napoleon says while answering a phone call from the 20th-century British leader. “I was just doing my job: keeping America safe. Say hello to Einstein and the Beatles for me.”
